Program Improvements

AIMEC identifies, plans, and implements the need and desired to change education programs. AIMEC involves planners and teachers, and focusses on educational infrastructure, methods, resources, facilities, and interventions to improve on AIMEC's ability to meet the CME mission. However, innovative education delivery methods are where AIMEC thrives.

To further meet the AIMEC's CME mission, there is a need to enhance the plan to reach learners. The overall CME planning committee must start earlier in the planning process, and further strategize planning details to enable early learning recruitment. The recruitment infrastructure should be formed in a way to invite and confirm participants to reduce attrition. Methods of follow-up and communication are necessary to facilitate a dialogue between teachers and learners. Resources must be directed to physicians that more clearly identify pain management interventions that address the learning objectives, to individualize care, provide real-time resources, education on new science, leadership within specialty and primary care, and the understanding of disease diagnosis, criteria, and comorbid condition management. There is a need for more follow-up and needs analysis to better measure patient outcomes as it relates to the education.

AIMEC has identified improvements and plans to implement specific changes in program planners, teachers, infrastructure, methods, resources, facilities, interventions. These processes and improvements  include an improvement of quality, a reduction of costs, an increase in data-driven change, and an increase of real-time data through technology.
